Banner design

A Banner design is an administrative division of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region in the People's Republic of China.Banners were first used during the Qing Dynasty, which organized the Mongols into banners except those who belonged to the Mongol Eight Banners. Each banner had sumun as nominal subdivisions, which also means arrow. In Inner Mongolia, several banners made up a league. In the rest, including Outer Mongolia, northern Xinjiang and Qinghai, Aimak (Àéìàã) was the largest administrative division. While it restricted the Mongols from crossing banner borders, the dynasty protected Mongolia from population pressure from China proper.

Today, banners are a county level division in the Chinese administrative hierarchy. There are 49 banners in total. An autonomous banner is a special type of banner set up by the People's Republic of China. There are 3 autonomous banners, all of which are found in northeastern Inner Mongolia, each with a designated ethnic minority.

Waste Water Treatment

A standard wastewater treatment train would typically consist of a primary clarifier system to remove solid and floating materials, a secondary treatment system consisting of an aeration basin followed by flocculation and sedimentation or an activated sludge system and secondary clarifiers, a tertiary biological nitrogen removal system, and a final tertiary disinfections unit.

The aeration basin/activated sludge system removes organic material by growing bacteria (activated sludge). The secondary clarifier removes the activated sludge from the water. The tertiary system is becoming more prevalent to remove nitrogen and phosphorus and do final disinfections of the water prior to its discharge to a surface water stream or ocean outfall. Before reentering into a body of water, the wastewater gets treated under a multi-stage process then only the water gets renovated and it is used for application

Most wastewater is treated in industrial-scale wastewater treatment plants, which may include physical, chemical and biological treatment processes. However, the use of septic tanks is widespread in rural areas, serving up to one quarter of the homes in the U.S. The most important aerobic treatment system is the activated sludge process, based on the maintenance and recirculation of a complex biomass composed by microorganisms able to degrade the organic matter carried in the wastewater.

Anaerobic processes are widely applied in the treatment of industrial wastewaters and biological sludge. Some wastewater may be highly treated and reused as reclaimed water. For some wastewaters ecological approaches using reed bed systems such as constructed wetlands may be appropriate. Modern systems include tertiary treatment by micro filtration or synthetic membranes. After membrane filtration, the treated wastewater is indistinguishable from waters of natural origin of drinking quality.

Health Insurance

Insurance comes to play in the case Illness or death .Imagine your family and dependents without you and your income .Think of a case where-in your children without your income. They will suffer due to non-work related injuries which are devastating. Health Insurance can help protect against disastrous health care expenses and lost wages. If you have a job, your employer may make medical and disability income benefits available to you. You can also buy this coverage privately or through an insurance agent who is certified by the State to sell health insurance goods.

Types of Health Plans:

Medical Expenses Plans: Pay expenses incurred for diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions. Full preference plans allow you to choose any doctor and hospital. You can also desire the amount of the "deductible" you must pay before the plan pays anything. After the deductible is met, a percentage of all your set cost is usually covered. The inequality between the percentages the plan pays and the amount charged is the "co-amount" that you must pay. The policy or employer benefit booklet resolve spell out the terms and conditions of what is enclosed and what in not covered. Read this contract BEFORE you need to use the plan and ask your agent or employer to give details anything which is unsure to you. Favorite Provider Organization (PPO) Plans allow you to choose a doctor or hospital from a list of "preferred" providers in order to receive filled benefits. If you go to a doctor who is not on the list, the plan may cover a smaller percentage or none of your costs. Check with the insurance carrier BEFORE you use the plan to make certain your physician or hospital is an astringent provider. Make certain your doctor refers you to other providers who are on the list, or who the carrier agrees to pay at the "preferred" rate. Individual Plans are a good alternative if you are not able to get coverage through your employer. A pre-existing condition, such as a past illness, must be covered after one year.

It will decide on the basis of your health history if they will issue the coverage. Multiple Employer welfare Arrangements(MEWA) may be insured or partially-insured plans. They are classically marketed to self-employed individuals or small employers through membership in a trade or other association. The California Insurance Code now requires MEWA's to obtain a "Certificate of Compliance" and to set aside financial reserves to work. They must fulfill with the health care reforms efficient after July 1993. These plans can only be sold through a licensed life indemnity agent.

Toothpaste

Toothpaste is a paste used to clean teeth, almost always in conjunction with a toothbrush. It can perform several functions that promote good oral hygiene: it can aid in rubbing dental plaque and food off of the teeth, it can eliminate or mask undesirable breath odors, and it can deliver active ingredients such as fluoride to prevent disease of the teeth and gums. Most people in Western, industrialized countries consider toothpaste a necessity and use it at least once a day.

Ingredients and flavors
Sodium fluoride (NaF) is the most popular active ingredient in toothpaste to prevent cavities; some brands use sodium monofluorophosphate (SMFP). Nearly all toothpaste sold in the United States has 1000 to 1100 parts per million of one of these active ingredients. This consistency leads some to conclude that cheap toothpaste is just as good as expensive toothpaste. When the magazine Consumer Reports rated toothpastes in 1998, 30 of the 38 were judged excellent.

Many, though not all, toothpastes contain sodium lauryl sulfate or another of the sulfate family. SLS is found in other personal care products as well, such as shampoo, and is largely a foaming agent. A small percent (15%) of the population may be affected by long-term usage of SLS in toothpastes, in the form of increases in minor cold sores in one's mouth. Switching to a non-SLS brand, such as Natural White (a UK-based blend) may reduce this effect.

Like many shampoos, healthier ingredients (such as baking soda, pseudo-mouthwash, etc.) are often combined into base mixes of varying qualities and marketed as being beneficial.

Toothpaste comes in a variety of flavors, most often being some variation on mint (spearmint, peppermint, regular mint etc). Other more exotic flavors include: anise, apricot, bubblegum (marketed mostly to children), cinnamon, fennel, ginger, vanilla, lemon, orange, even unflavored.

Toothpaste is intended to be spat out. Some types of toothpaste may cause nausea or diarrhea if swallowed in sufficient quantity. This is why children of a young age should not use it, or use it only under close supervision.

Calcium used in toothpaste can be derived from animal bones or from lime. Vegetarians prefer to use products free of any ingredients derived from animals. For this reason, in India toothpaste suitable for vegetarians has been introduced and has done extremely well.

Striped toothpaste
Striped toothpaste is produced by including two different colored toothpastes in an unusual type of packaging. The collapsible tube has two tanks, one filled with each color paste (see figure). Squeezing the tube pushes the two pastes out the opening. The tube nozzle layers the pastes to produce a striped pattern.

hi

wind turbine, windmill or wind generator is a device for converting wind power to mechanical rotation with a low velocity turbine designed for compressible fluids (air). Most of this article covers the use of wind turbines to drive generators to produce electricity.
Beginning in the 1980s, the falling cost of producing electricity from wind has made wind turbines an economically viable way to supply energy to the grid in more and more areas. But the economics are marginal, and wind farms must be huge to produce publicly interesting amounts of power. As a result, the installation of large wind farms is controversial.

tulipomania

The term tulipomania (alternatively tulip mania) is used metaphorically to refer to any large economic bubble. The term originally came from the period in the history of the Netherlands during which demand for tulip bulbs reached such a peak that enormous prices were charged for a single bulb. It took place in the first part of the 17th century.

The tulip, introduced to Europe in the middle of the 16th century, experienced a strong growth in popularity in Holland, boosted by competition between members of the middle classes to outcompete each other in possession of the rarest tulips. Competition escalated until prices reached unsustainable levels.

Tulip cultivation in the Netherlands is thought to have started in 1593. The flower rapidly became a coveted luxury item and a status symbol. Special breeds were given exotic names or named after Dutch naval admirals. In 1623, a single bulb of a famous tulip breed could cost as much as a thousand Dutch florins (the average yearly income at the time was 150 florins). Tulips were also exchanged for land, valuable livestock, and houses. Allegedly, a good trader could earn sixty-thousand florins a month.

By 1635, a sale of 40 bulbs for 100,000 florins was recorded. By way of comparison, a ton of butter cost around 100 florins and "eight fat swine" 240 florins. A record was the sale of the most famous bulb, the Semper Augustus, for 6,000 florins in Haarlem.

By 1636, tulips were traded on the stock exchanges of numerous Dutch towns and cities. This encouraged trading in tulips by all members of society, with many people selling or trading their other possessions in order to speculate in the tulip market. Some speculators made large profits as a result.

Some traders sold tulip bulbs that had only just been planted or those they intended to plant (in effect, tulip futures). That was dubbed as "wind trade". State edict in 1610 made that trade illegal by refusing to enforce the contracts, but the legislation failed to curtail the activity.

Mania

Mania describes a medical condition characterised by severely elevated mood. Associated with bipolar disorder, where episodes of mania alternate with episodes of depression. (Note: not all mania is bipolar disorder, other diseases can cause mania - however bipolar disorder is the 'classic' manic disease).

Hypomania refers to a less severe variant of mania, where there is less loss of control.

Although 'severely elevated mood' sounds pleasant, the actual experience of mania is usually unpleasant and frightening for the person involved, and may lead to behavior that they may regret later.

Other manic symptoms include hypersexuality, religiosity, and hyperactivity.

Mania can also be experienced at the same time as depression, in so-called dysphoric mania. This has caused speculation amongst doctors that mania and depression are two independent axes in a bipolar spectrum, rather than opposites.

Some collective mania (craze) can also take place, as individuals have a tendency to lose their own personality inside a crowd (fads, herding, crowd hysteria)
